Mini Shark

Mini Sharks is for the emerging swimmer in the 4 to 7 year old age range. Mini Sharks are members of the swim team. Mini Sharks have a wide range of skills from kids who are not swimming to kids who can swim but don’t have the endurance to swim the length of the pool. If your child can swim the length of the pool they should be a regular Shark. Your child must be comfortable in the water and separate easily from Mom and Dad.

REGISTRATION
Team Registration Night is May 16th at Hunt Valley Elementary School from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Mini Sharks is $80 per swimmer.

Please click here to get your registration form and bring along with your Emergency Care form to Team Registration Night.  Mini sharks use the same forms as the swim team.

PRACTICE, MEETS AND SOCIALS
Mini Shark practice starts June 18th in the morning and shall practice Monday through Thursday. They practice in the shallow end of the pool closest to the Shark Shack. Mini Sharks have their own coaches that will work with the kids to develop their swimming skills. At our Monday Night swim meets, the Mini Sharks “race” a significantly shorter distance and may use a kick board.

The goal of Mini Sharks is to introduce your child to swim team in a safe and fun environment, and to develop a love of swim team. In fact, Mini Sharks are part of the swim team. They are invited to all social functions, will be in the team picture and will be honored at the End of the Season party.
